
Postdoctoral researcher and member of the laboratory, Kostas Gourzis, highlighted the key points of the research, noting that for the period covered by the study (2023-2024) :
🔸There is a close statistical correlation between the density of short-term rentals and high rents in Athens.
🔹Rents are closely linked to prices per night in Thessaloniki; the more expensive the accommodation, the greater the likelihood of a rent increase.
And
🔸For every 100 short-term rental properties added to a neighborhoods of the Municipality of Athens, rental prices increase by 2%.
