Inclusive Labour and Housing Observatory

The Inclusive Labour and Housing Observatory created in the context of the Inclusive Urban Societies project visualises and analyses data on labour and housing markets at different geographical scales, focusing on the cities of Athens and Thessaloniki.

The Observatory:

  • Provides detailed data on housing (tenure status, land values, short-term rentals, building conditions) and labour (employment by sector, flexible work, working conditions, in-work poverty).
  • Informs the public about key urban issues such as gentrification, touristification, and labour flexibilisation, supporting more proactive engagement.
  • Supports researchers by offering structured, in-depth data and insights.
  • Helps shape evidence-based policies aimed at addressing housing and labour precarity in cities.
