Obrela Observatory

The Obrela Observatory provides an interactive overview of legally licensed beaches for tourism exploitation on the island of Rhodes, combining spatial mapping and satellite-based data with statistical indicators. It combines thematic maps and charts to show how coastal areas are distributed and used by different types of tourism activities and infrastructure. Users can filter the data by region, activity type, and satellite imagery year, allowing flexible exploration of patterns across the coastline. As a result the observatory brings a clearer understanding of beach use intensity thus helping inform coastal planning and management decisions.
