The aim of the project is to establish a Vocational Education and Training – VET model adapted to the needs of EU islands, with emphasis on smart specialisation activities related to the Twin Transition, i.e. policies promoting digitalisation and climate change adaptation actions.

Particularly the project aims to the:

• Co-creation of orientation and training programmes in strategic economic sectors, involving trainees, businesses and political actors.

• Creation of OVER-SEES NEXUS, which is a permanent online platform that fosters cooperation between VET providers and enterprises.

• Development of a governance model of excellence for VET in European islands, with joint recommendations and regional councils.

• Creation of the digital community of practice OVER-SEES.com, which will gather and promote best practices.
