Effie Emmanouil is a junior researcher in the YOUTHShare project and is completing her PhD on youth labour markets in the ongoing crisis, forming a regional analysis of the two-way relationship between youth labour market resilience and youth-workfare in the Mediterranean European South. In particular, her research interests include youth unemployment, inactivity, labour flexibilisation and skills, as well as the impact of youth employability policies. She has been participated in teaching undergraduate courses at the University of the Aegean as an assistant tutor and has also been a seminar presenter for the YOUTHShare project, in collaboration with the Centre for Education and Lifelong Learning of the University of the Aegean, aiming to support young people that are not in employment, education or training. She also holds master’s degrees in “Human Geography, Development and Spatial Planning” and “Engineering Project Management”, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
