Ο Δρ. Θεόδωρος Ιωσηφίδης είναι Καθηγητής Μεθόδων Κοινωνικών Επιστημών στο Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου. Σπούδασε Κοινωνιολογία και Περιφερειακή Ανάπτυξη στο Πάντειο Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών και είναι κάτοχος Διδακτορικού στην Ανθρωπογεωγραφία από το Πανεπιστήμιο του Sussex, UK. Έχει γράψει εκτενείς εργασίες σε περιοδικά, βιβλία και κεφάλαια βιβλίων για τη μετανάστευση και τη μεθοδολογία των κοινωνικών επιστημών, την επιστημολογία και τις ποιοτικές μεθόδους. Συμμετείχε σε πολλά διεθνή ερευνητικά προγράμματα και τα ενδιαφέροντά του αφορούν τις μεταναστευτικές μελέτες, ποιοτικές μεθόδους και επιστημολογία/μεθοδολογία των κοινωνικών επιστημών.
